Health care costs in the United States are a huge tax on the poor and middle class. In the last two decades, care has eroded and costs have sky rocketed. The Affordable Care Act slowed down the escalating costs and dwindling benefits of healthcare. ACA forced Insurance companies to cover preexisting conditions, pregnancy, health maintenance check ups and some lab work. Those coverage minimums have been eliminated by the current administration. Our high priced healthcare offers us long waits to see specialists, Physician assistants instead of medical doctors and an increase in infections and super bacteria. The poor medical care we are receiving from the American Medical Association has one positive effect on the public, more people are managing their own healthcare.
Statistics show, that more Americans are taking control of their own health. Yes, we all have different DNA and come from different environments but we all have a choice to be the healthiest we can be. What does that mean? The best way to maintain optimal wellness is to eat healthy, drink enough water, limit toxin exposure, and exercise regularly, including breathing and relaxation exercises. I will be posting more information on those topics as I learn to use this blog builder:-)
Another important component to good health is happiness. Many behavior specialists and life coach's agree we all need something that gives us joy. If I see or hear something that puts a smile on my face, I will post it here:-)
